Each month we’ll explore a different rum producing country, sampling five rums from as many distilleries and/or indie bottlers as we can to get as broad a representation from each country as possible. We’ll include as many different styles as possible to highlight different production methods, age statements, cask types, price points, and (dare we say it) terriors to really get a feel for each national style.
This month we’ll feature Guadeloupe! This French Caribbean archipelago consists of twelve islands full of tropical rainforest, volcanic peaks and sandy beaches, and more importantly, eight distilleries! Guadeloupe, like Martinique, create rhum agricole from fresh pressed sugar cane juice rather than molasses. Expect vibrant grassy, citrussy and flavourful unaged rhums and elegant, refined aged agricoles.
Keep an eye on our Instagram for updates on what bottles we’ll feature!
